We were attracted by the warm welcome we received from the City of Trotwood and by their vision for cooperation and mutual support. Our presence in Trotwood has brought us many new partnerships and opportunities with local businesses, civic groups and faith communities. After only a year and a half we feel we are truly a part of this community and are playing an important role in the redevelopment and expansion of the city." - JoAnn Wagner, Director of Communications/Marketing, UTS (www.united.edu)

Jump Design Group

Jump Design Group caters to national and regional clients to create new identifiable images for major corporations and retailers. "We are a brand design house," says owner Jim Foster sitting in their conference room surrounded by striking graphic mock-ups of different projects the team is working on. "We create the entire essence of what a company is."

Known as branding in the marketing world, design firms like theirs create the identifiable theme for companies and products that help clients and consumers identify them, like the red and white label of a Campbell's Soup can. "It's all about communicating the brand essence to the target community," said Foster who moved his operations to Trotwood after building a reputation in California and New York. And that move makes even more sense once you realize there are more international design firms in Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati than anywhere else in the world.

Foster also believes in generating more commerce for local businesses. Besides eating in the area restaurants they have hired DGL Woodworking in Trotwood to build prototypes of new display cases for recreational retailer Watson's. Foster is glad to be part of the fabric of Olde Town and hopes his success here will help attract more investment in the area.
