Schools

The Trotwod-Madison City School district has become a partner to local business and the City of Trotwood, providing assistance with economic development projects through the use of a 30 year Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Agreement. The TIF district surrounds and includes the Landmark site, and has been used successfully to fund some aspects of the redevelopment project including associated Salem Avenue corridor improvements. The school district understands the vital role it plays in furthering development in the area.
T-M City Schools has begun a $90,000,000.00 investment in new facilities for all grades (K-12). These new facilities will provide state of the art learning environments to all Trotwood students.

The district has also begun to use a systemic approach to district improvement. Trotwood-Madison City Schools has adopted the Baldrige National Quality Program Criteria of Performance Excellence . This program is resulting in improvement at all levels of the district, including the Board of Education.
Other Trotwood Area Schools
Precious Blood School is one of the area's most respected private schools and is another key player in the Salem Avenue Corridor revitalization effort. They have been strong supporters of SAVISCO and continue to make plans for further development in the area.
United Theological Seminary recently relocated to Trotwood from Dayton. The UTS College is a graduate school of the United Methodist Church offering a Master of Divinity degree program. The new campus offers Trotwood several public spaces that feature rotating art exhibits, lectures on current world and theological topics open to the public, a first class library, and many other amenities that benefit the community. Their presence on the Salem Avenue Corridor has already begun to have a positive effect on the businesses in the area.
Miami Valley Career Technology Center is just minutes away. MVCTC is the region's vocational and adult education center. Their recent expansion has added new technology and connectivity, making the CTC one of the most advanced learning centers in the region. Trotwood area employers can benefit from the many apprenticeship programs and Adult Education programs offered by the MVCTC.
Trotwood is close to several institutes of higher education. Sinclair Community College, Wright State University and The University of Dayton are all just minutes away. Soon the Landmark development will include a satellite campus of one of the region's colleges.
Trotwood-Madison City Schools and the other local educational institutions are strong and important contributors to the city's revitalization and growth. They are all excellent partners with a vision for the future of Trotwood.
